Have extra greeting cards?

Ever have a few cards left from a box set?
Here's an idea to turn those extra cards into ornaments.
You'll need: cards, ruler, x-acto knife,  paper fasteners split pins, string, hot glue and embellishments.

Measure out 1/2" or 1" across the top and bottom of the greeting card.
For a clean cut, use an x-acto knife to cut into strips.

Punch a whole at the top and bottom of each strip.

Keeping the strips in order, put the paper fasteners split pins through one side,
then fold the strips to create a loop. Spread the loops in the shape of a wheel.

This part of the ornament you can use items that you like best.
You will need string to hang the ornament.
For the embellishments, I've chose curly ribbon and a black button.
On one side, I hot glued the ribbon and on the other side I hot glued the button.

It's your choice to hang on the tree or just as home decor.

Hope you have found this DIY helpful and inspiring.
You could use this project on any card you may have around.

Hope your Christmas is Merry and Bright.
