Michaels and Dollar Tree Haul

I love pre-planning for the seasons and holidays, this week I took a creative trip to two of my favorite craft stores. Picked up a few items for next month's Christmas In July blog and Fall Into Autumn series coming in September. Super excited that I walked into Michaels 70% off sale! and found a few items at Dollar Tree.

Half of the items are for a craft project and the other half are just personal likes - all from Dollar Tree.

9 Creative Summer Projects

Summer can be a challenge to stay creative. Create projects for yourself to keep the juices flowing. I like adding projects where I can be around other people; having a different perspective only strengthens your skills


Art Project Ideas:
1. Take an art class
2. Draw in the park - Plein Air art
3. Paint your favorite quote on a canvas.

Craft Project:
1. Give yourself a $10 budget to purchase products for a craft idea.
2. Refurbish an old craft project to make it new.
3. Find a craft project on Pinterest or YouTube and recreate it.

Design Project:
1. Redesign one of your favorite book cove.
2. Design a poster using type.
3. Illustrate any animal.

12 month ornament challenge #6 June

Ornament #6 Red Glitz

We are at the half-way mark for the 12 month ornament challenge.YEAH!
Summer is close, colors get brighter and more vibrant. Red is one of my favorite colors and I wanted to create an ornament that was shiny and bright.
Inspiration: Small red ribbon ornaments and small red sparkle balls, I found at Hobby Lobby last holidiay.
Items: 
1. Red glitter
2. Red paint
3. Small sparkly red ribbons and ball (Hobby Lobby)
4. Red ribbon
5. White caulk
6. Hot glue gun
