Spring Up your desk area

At Spring, I will change out the decor around my work space area as well as my home.
Here's few ideas to brighten up your desk area at home or at work.

Used for this project:
Chip board word and chip board plaque - from Hobby Lobby
Ribbon flowers, paper flowers and butterfly - you can find at Hobby Lobby and Michaels
Empty glass jar
Scrapbook paper
Epsom Salt
Food coloring
Spray paint
Acrylic paint

Believe chip board wall sign with flowers, ribbon, jar and garland, also epsom salt and green good coloring sketch by Noami Foster

I found the chip board on sale at Hobby Lobby. The epsom salt is scented with eucalyptus (from Walgreens). I add a few drops of food coloring to match the decor. The epsom salt will hold the flowers in place, I will also use the jar to hold my pencils. I then sketched out how I wanted the words to look on the chip board plaque.

Desk area Spring decoration ideas by Noami Foster

I first spray painted the chip board word white, so I could have a brighter purple. Then painted the sign purple used white paint and flat back clear jewels as outline on the word and added the butterfly when everything was dry. I Modge Podge the Recollection scrapbook paper to the plaque and used a Sharpie marker to create the words. (use words inspires you each day) I used the ribbon around the glass jar and to connect the sign and the plaque together.

This sign is the first thing I see about my desk each morning. A nice way to start my day off.
This DIY project was all under $20.

Hope you are enjoying these Spring Days & Thank you for stopping by my blog.

If We Had Tea #4

Spring Is Here!

Greem tea frappaccino, Snap Pea candle and journal
If we had tea today and fellowship one on one, I suggest we meet at Starbucks for some green tea frappuccino. I'd tell you about these new candle scents I found at Bath and Body works. You'd know that Spring is one of my favorie times of the year.

If we had tea, I'd tell you about the projects I am working, I've learned to journal all my ideas and create a strategy. I'd show this book I picked up at Barnes and Noble and how I made a commitment to try at least 2 recipes for every cookbook I buy. You'd share your favorite recipes with me and we'd talk how much fun it is to fellowship around food.

Double Delicious recipe book
If we had tea, I'd tell you about the challenges on the job and how God's grace keeps me focused. You'd remind me of the real reason God places us in situations and each one of is important in the Kingdom and what a great impact we can make for the Kingdom. I'd tell you of the wonderful ideas I have, knowing it's from the Holy Spirit, we'd agree in prayer that God's will - WILL BE DONE.

If we had tea today and fellowship one on one, I'd express how much fun I've been having with the ornament challenge for year, you'd recommend some other creative ideas to try and perhaps recommend a craft show for later this year.

If we had tea today and fellowship one on one, I'd tell you every thing I have learned professionally over the last 2 years has prepared me for the career I am in right now. I'd tell you to continue to listen to the voice of God, follow the path he has you on and things will be created for you.

As we finish up our tea time, I'd ask if you have any prayer needs, we'd pray, because we understand we must pray without ceasing, then we'd plan for our next tea.

If you had joined me for some tea, it would have been nice to spend time with you.

much love to you, thank you for the visit and come back soon.

From Winter to Spring

Ready for Spring?

It is easy to change your decor from Winter Spring.
Changing out flowers and small items will bring the outdoor changing of colors indoors. Here's what I did for my guest bathroom.

For this project you'll need:
2 Spring Floral bunches
2 Candles
2 clear or frosted Candle holders
10x10 Scrapbook Paper
X-Acto knife
Wire clippers

with the Scrapbook paper, measure the depth of your candle holder, cut accordingly. The 10x10 paper worked well for the inner length. You can use fashion measuring tape to get an exact measurement of the circumference.

Found the Happy Chick candle on sale at JCPenny,
Flowers bouquet and paper from Michaels.

Place scrapbook paper inside the candle holder.
I cut down the length of the flowers to fit inside the holder.
Repeat the process for the second candle holder.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.
