Coloring Review #1 Faber-Castell Polychromos
For years, I have used Prismacolor colored pencils.
I have been interested in trying other color pencils, so for the summer of 2016,
I began testing other brands of colored pencils.
Faber-Castell was one of those brands.
I have been interested in trying other color pencils, so for the summer of 2016,
I began testing other brands of colored pencils.
Faber-Castell was one of those brands.
First up, Faber-Castells Polychromos.
Polychromos, meaning many colors, is a oil based pencil. I choose Faber-Castell because with their polychromos pencils you can use in conjunction with the other Faber-Castell line. Faber-Castells are also open stock, I'm able to replenish based on what I need. The downside...they are expensive.
The pigments are rich and intense, the blending and layering are smooth and I had no smudging.
For detailing I used the Faber-Castell Pitt artist marker, Pilot gold marker and Signo white gel pen.
